Inclusive Directions is an independent not-for-profit organisation with a long history of promoting and supporting children’s inclusion in education, care and the community.
We provide assistance to children, coaching for staff, and support to families to build their skills and networks. We also advocate for and support strong communities through our programs, services and training.
Inclusive Directions delivers services in metropolitan Adelaide, the Riverland, South East South Australia and West Victoria.
Our services include:
Inclusive Directions Flinders Therapy House in St Marys opened in July 2015 marking a new era for South Australian children living with autism, and their families, who now have greater access to one of the State’s few evidence-based early intervention programs. In February 2016 a new Therapy House opened in Mt Gambier. Both locations have been purpose designed and developed to provide a homely, welcoming and nurturing environment for children and families.
To ensure early childhood providers are well supported there is opportunity to access a range of fee-for-service corporate support functions. This includes HR management, coaching and mentoring, leadership development, business planning and strategy, governance and risk management.
Training and development is available for early childhood educators to increase their confidence in delivering services that consider Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), behaviour, communication, culture, expressive art, child protection and environment.
This unique mentoring program contributes to the successful engagement and retention of older children/students at risk of not completing their SACE. Fundamental outcomes of the program include overcoming barriers to learning success and positive high school integration.
Inclusive Directions offers a broad range of specialist equipment to enable the inclusion of children living with a disability. Equipment is provided free of charge to Child Care Benefit-eligible long day care, out of school hours care, vacation care and family day care services.
These resources aim to assist in incorporating diversity into activities and programs, and are available for purchase. The resources cover a broad range of topics relevant to the early childhood sector.
Of significant value to families and individuals in the process of navigating the NDIS, Inclusive Directions offers a large range of customised direct services and supports to clients and their families.
