Dr Martin Dooland AM (Chairperson)
Martin has a more than 40-year career supporting the Australian health sector. His distinguished career has seen him serve as a dentist in rural South Australia and as a lecturer with the School of Dental Therapy and the University of South Australia. He has also spent time in leadership roles including Chief Executive of the Royal Dental Hospital of Melbourne, Chief Executive of Dental Health Services Victoria and Chief Executive SA Dental Service. Among his many achievements, Martin authored a 1992 National Health Strategy paper Improving Dental Health in Australia and he has served on the National Advisory Committee on Oral Health. In 2012 he received the Basil Hetzel Award for Leadership in Public Health and in 2013 he was awarded a Member of the Order of Australia for his contribution to public dental services.
